Responsibilities for the Purchasing Officer Job
- Source for quotations according to the needs of local procurement
- Liaise with suppliers on orders, negotiate on prices and process LPOs
- Regularly update purchases dashboard
- Ensure compliance with company procurement procedures and the general conditions of the company
- Participate in the company’s improvement dynamic
Responsibilities for the Purchasing Officer Job
- Issuing and receiving items and documents at the stores
- Assisting in stock taking periodically
- Preparing monthly reports
- Ensuring proper reconciliation
- Any other duties as may be assigned
- Be a holder of a Degree / Diploma in Supplies Management or its equivalent from a recognised institution with at least two – three (2-3) years’ experience as a purchasing officer
- Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be self-driven with a lot of initiative and drive
- Proficiency in computer applications
